I have been trying to make some money online and I thought the way to go was to try the methods being purveyed by the so-called gurus. Well, they do know how to make money online because what the sell you makes them money. This is true and I suppose they are all laughing all the way to the bank. There must be a sure way but I am not sure how to find that way. So here I am, pondering the big question in Cagayan de Oro City and this question has never been answered for me.

What do I need to do in order to make some money online? This is the question and the only ones who want to show me the answers all want me to part with my money. There must be a way. I know there is one or two just waiting to be discovered. More and more I seeing one method falling by the wayside.

The whole universe is built upon conflict. When atoms collide things change, evolution results. When atoms clump together things change too and different processes begin to take place. There is always activity, conflict and resolution. This exists like a dance that never stops and this dance allows change to occur. Nothing stops change. The night might struggle to stay longer its efforts are in vain when the dawn comes. The conflict between dark and light gets resolved everytime and at times the darkness wins while at others the light wins.

What do I want with Ching's Way? I cannot really say that I know what it is that I want to accomplish with this. This is just a way of doing something and getting something to go and move in the way that I desire. In a way, it could be said that I am just wasting time and that there is nothing earth-shaking about what is being said.

This is not such a problem. I am just turning my thoughts into electronic reality and this way is better than most to accomplish the mission.

The Struggle Continues

I am beginning to get a hint of an explanation of how things are on the Internet. It has been a struggle trying to get a handle on this creature called the Internet. After the initial flash of awe and a peep at seemingly limitless possibilities, I could see that there is a great deal of work before I could begin to make sense of where I am in relation to Internet Technology. Seeing as how I could not hope to understand the esoteric side of programming, I chose to understand the things that other people were doing.

The other week I learned from a friend that a certain lady was making $300 a month from her Internet activities. I must admit I felt a little envious and a tad stupid for not having that kind of success on the Internet. This is a nice proof that one can really make a modest income from online activities.

When I first started Ching's World, I thought that creating the website is the most difficult task of all that needs to be done when one is making a website. I was so wrong. I had forgotten the initial frustration when I first started flirting with the Online World. All in all, Ching's World is a wonderful experience.

Cagayan de Oro City I learned recently, had a number of powerful websites that seemed rooted in their perches on the first pages of the SERPs. It appeared to me that there must be smart owls running the show where Cagayan de Oro City websites are concerned.

Dumaguete, on the other hand is more gratifying in that a number of websites have decided to link to it. It is therefore to be found in the first four pages of the SERPs. If one cannot see the money from online activities, one might as well feel good that a favorite site is ranking well. Kudos, Dumaguete.

Cebu City is a new website added to a collection of sites worth visiting. I do not expect to see any money from this online endeavor. Cebu City is a dearly beloved city and deserves some loving attention showered on it.

Where Are The Money Makers?

Most everyone who want you to make money online has something to sell you. They get you to sign up on their mailing list if you decline to buy or, they don't sell you anything right away but offer to give you something for free if you would only agree to get on their mailing list. This is a recurring theme in Internet Marketing: List Building. They teach you again and again that the Money is in the List. Countless e-books have been written, sold or given away to hammer down this very basic of tenets.

Receiving emails from Internet Marketing Gurus could be a powerful feeling when you are just starting out. They write you like you are a close and important friend. They call you by your first name and they offer you nuggets of wisdom. More often than not the advice that they give you sounds great in theory but you need to try it out in practice and here now comes the catch, you have to pay for the infrastructure or the tools or something or other in order to see for yourself if what they are saying is true or not.

Whether you make money or not is never sure but one thing is certain, the Guru makes money when you instruct Paypal to give them your money. That is who makes money: the Guru.

One who starts to think that money, lots of it, tons of it can be made online will surely spend a lot of money, a ton of money, lots of it anyway, if he has deep pockets. And in the process, many people will make lots of money, tons of it from pocketing the money of those who want to make tons of money online. This is a left-handed compliment to the crafty, canny, brilliantly-gifted marketers who make money online. Anyone who has plunked his hard-earned offline-world dollar for a piece of the pie in the Cyber Sky would have a good chance of recovering his investment by joining the bandwagon and become a super internet marketer himself or herself.

They make it reaslly easy for you to part with your money. The barkers at a carnival have nothing on these masters, gurus and what have you. They blare their message and trumpet their successes with miles and miles of testimonials and earnings screenshots to whet the appetite of the newbies who envy their earning prowess. There is nothing wrong with that. I believe everyone has a right to make a buck and if the Internet is the best way to do it then so be it.

I am not a bitter victim of an internet scam although I must admit that I have fallen prey to a scam or two, scams so blatantly devious, so brutally dishonest that I would hate to describe it if only to preserve my self-denial that I had not been suckered but merely tested the veracity of the sales page. Far from seeing only the crass and the shoddy, I do see brilliance and creative intelligence at work in the Internet Marketing world every day. I never cease to be amazed.

One of the easiest ways to Internet success and money is to go the Affiliate route. Become and affiliate and promote other people's products. This is easy to do and gives you good returns in a very short time. There are tons of great products just waiting to be bought. Put your affliate link and that's about it. There are millions of buyers surfing the net, and selling other people's products is easier than making the products yourself and selling them all by your lonesome. Well, if you are good in creating products, there will always be marketers who will help you sell your product for a good commission. Everybody wins, either way.

One of the best ways to make money is through Google Adsense, according to the Gurus and everybody else who have made money on it or hope to make money on it. I agree, Adsense is great and I gleefully start to get into it with a few sites of my own and I soon discover that the money they tell me I would be having would have to come from Expert Coaching or some other secret, esoteric program which I will have to join. Not wanting to fall prey and not having enough money to test the honesty of these coaches, I am forced to do research on articles which are in the Public Domain. Reading sales pages is a good way to gain an insight into what is going on underneath the hype and the blather. After a while I get a feel for what is dross and what really glitters. There is a lot of gold to be gleaned from sales pages.

Everyone who wants to make money online sooner or later has to come in contact with hats. Black hats and white hats. Black hats are secretive, seductive and promise a thousand times more than white hats who would tend to be prim and proper and above-board. Weakness will always be exploited and Black Hat Gurus are always on the lookout for chinks in the armour of the search engines who also change and metamorphose and adapt to protect themselves from the exploits that would weaken their long-term credibility as servers of relevant pages of the searches of the Netizens who rely on them.

Between intention and execution is a great distance

It is very easy to say "I will do this", "I will aim for that". It is very easy to identify an idea as a good one only to change one's mind later when it proves to be difficult or even unachievable. It is much more so with trying to make any kind of money online. The people who say it is easy as following a recipe must have gone through a terrible time when they were starting out and they want you to pay for the knowledge that they have gained by buying their eBook. That seems to be their success: selling books. Maybe that should be the course that I should take. If they succeed in making money selling books it must be because they have failed at their many attempts as they know that I will fail in mine doing the very things I do now that they did years before. This makes them Internet Gurus. Will they be able to help me make money online?

These gurus know hundreds or even thousands of ways to fail in the Internet. They will surely make money online if I dipped into my stash and bought their eBook. Will their eBooks teach me to make money online? They are gurus because they have tried many things and failed, a knowledge which they are now successfully selling in the Internet. If I want to be a guru someday I will have to follow their footsteps and fail like they failed. That is if I want to be like them and be a Guru and sell eBooks. I could simplify the process and read their eBooks and merely rehash what it is that they say but then I would be a fake Guru. I would be like a war hero who never was in a war. That is something that I don't think I can live with so I guess I will have to find my own way until I find a Guru that I want to follow.

Of course, I am merely hypothesizing here since I have not bought an eBook. All I have done is read articles circling around the perimeter of real knowledge and I could not bring all of these theories to practice since I don't know what is in these eBooks not having bought one. A real catch-22 if you ask me. This prompts me to search some more. There must be something out there that I can sink my teeth into.

Like I said before, I am taking the cash-free approach to making money in the Internet. A foolish way to try to make money you might say. All I can say is this: I have not made any money hut I also have not lost money. All I have lost is time but I have gained a lot in losing some of my ignorance. The truth is still out there.

More and more I realize that it is not easy to crack open the Internet clam. There are many pitfalls for the unwary. When I started out about a month ago, I thought it would be a cakewalk. My mind was telling me the resources are all out there. All I had to do was pick one or two of the sure-fire formulas and I would be on my way to hog heaven. The more I read the words they used, the more I became cautious. Why would an important, successful Internet Enterpreneur want to help some newbie become rich and successful using his own technique? They spend time and money on email campaigns that dog my tracks everyday with email after email telling me how easy it is for me to become rich and successful. Every one is after something that they want to get from me and I suspect it the motivation might not be the altruistic thrust which they trumpet in their ads. Why would they want me to give them money? Is not the hundreds and thousands of dollars that they make every day not enough for them? Somehow to my mind, this does not compute.

I get variations of the same thing every day on my email. They want to make me successful and they want me to enroll in some super secret underground club where only paying members will be making tons and tons of money. Somehow, I cannot get the logic of the whole deal. Here I am, totally without resources and there they are: ultra sleek and totally successful and they waste their time on me? What is the real score? I have a hard time figuring this out and I guess I will never know if what they are saying is true since I do not have any money to prove the efficacy of their systems.

I do know a few things from my five weeks of trying to get into this online business:

I need a website
I need visitors to that website
Google Adsense is a good way to monetize my website
Google Adwords can drive traffic to my website ( here I will have to spend money)
Affiliate programs also monetize my website
Getting visitors is not so easy

It is almost like a catch-22 type of situation. The good news is that since I dont have any money to spend my education will only be as expensive as the effort that I am willing to put into trying to find out the real score about "Making Money Online". This search for El Dorado is taking on a while new scope for me. If I had any money at all then I would surely join the ranks of those who say they have been duped by many unscrupulous operators in the Internet. This is really like Real Life except you don't meet anyone face to face. I am sure that I will somehow unlock the secrets that are so far being kept from me. Or maybe, the answers are just staring at me in the face and all I should be doing is plunk down my dollar and start blasting away to millions.

Going through the results of a search for the keyword "making money online" gets you a slew of sites offering you lots and lots of money. They seem to follow a common formula: they make their pitch and they whet your appetite; they give you testimonials and proof of earnings for doing practically nothing; they ask you to sign up for more information on more ways of making money and that is just what I did. I signed up for everything that looked promising.

They freely offer you advice, Internet tips and advertising tricks and secret techniques which are very helpful. Free advice is easy to get on the Internet and I am all for it and take full advantage of it so long as I don't have to pay while I'm making up my mind.

The offshoot of this is that I get bombarded with emails everyday explaining this way and that way to make tons of money without lifting a finger well, they do say you have to work for about 15 minutes more or less. Patient man that I am, I read through all of their emails and I follow the links and read everything that they have to say to me and all their prospective customers. One thing is abundantly clear:

They're making lots of money, you want to be like them and cash in on a sure thing.
They want you to make money just like they do and they are willing to teach you how.
They want you to plunk in your dollars for them to help you make lots of money.

Being a cautious man, I let them go through the whole pitch and I examine each and every one of their schemes. There are some which I think are reasonably presented and I keep them in the back of my mind for more investigation. There are some with very innovative ideas which could work but not without a large investment of time and some enrollment fee on your part. When hunting for the real deal, one has to be very patient so as to separate the chaff from the grain.

Google does wonders with your appetite for information. Well, the other search engines do give you information too on where to look for anything under the sun but Google is everywhere so it's more convenient. Typing "make money online" gave me a big list of opportunities to browse. Clicking through the first one I find intriguing possibilities. The opportunity to make lots of money screams at you, tugs at your sleeves begging you to please make lots of money. A couple did catch my attention quick: Make money by reading emails and Get paid for signing up. This was worth investigating so I bookmark all that sounded interesting with the thought of going through their pitch at liesure

The process of getting into these schemes is very simple: they ask you for your name and email address and email you a confirmation request which upon responding automatically lists you on their database and your in business! Signing up for a couple of Get money for signing up deals gives you a members area where you can check your account. True enough you have the signing up bonus of $50 or $10 or whatever amoung they are giving away prominently displayed.. They also give you money for recruiting people and that is where the fun starts to lose its flavor for me. They ask you to click some banners and you get a few cents in your account.I tried it for a few days and I discovered I was not getting rich quick; in fact, I may never get rich at all using this scheme so I quickly jettison these schemes from my computer and it's back to square one for me.

My efforts at gleaning the best strategy using Google search has led me to some twists and turns which brings me to believe that there must be some truth to the saying "there's gold in them thar hills" as they say in cowboy movies. This has been a very educational excursion for me and I am enjoying every second of it. To be frank, not every scheme presented to me was to my liking. There were some who said money was to be made answering surveys and I did some of those but none of them really suited me since I was in the wrong location. If I had been living in the United States I might have qualified for free gas.

Another one which I thought was promising was to "read email" and I did some of those too. You might be tempted to try that for yourself. Experience is the best teacher so go ahead and jump right into that. I recently enrolled in an Affiliate program which might be a good lead for me. It requires a bit of reading but signing up is free and you get started right away. It requires a bit of strategizing but that is part of the fun, at least for me. Google, google everywhere

The ubiquitous Google search facility on my Mozilla Firefox is such a cool way to organize your search for material in the Internet. It is like having your very own Library of Congress or encyclopedia or your own team of experts in all aspects of science and technology. I use it to search for everything including pictures and songs. The thing that I could not understand was how they make money with their search engine. I mean, I use their search engine all the time and not once had I been asked for credit card details to use their services. They are giving it away for free which makes it all the more confusing for me. I had read that Google makes money from selling ads which is kind of a traditional way to make money but appied to the Internet. So, Google is serving advertising content which is well and good for it and its clients but what about the simple folk like me? How is money to be made from the Internet? A very interestiing problem indeed and I am determined to use Google to lead me to the answers.

I am a big fan of the World Wide Web and the Internet especially with the advent of high-speed connections like DSL and cable modems. The old dial-up was good enough for me when I started to surf the net, it was quite expensive too if I can remember right. I just recently subscribed to a DSL package offered by my phone company and I did not really use it much at all. However, I always kept in the back of my mind the idea that maybe I could make money on the Internet. The problem was how to go about doing it?

I had no one to guide me so I was just left to my own devices. I browsed the popular sites like Yahoo, Excite, Lycos. These were the ones offering free email service and I thought what a cool idea: free email. Unsavvy in the ways of the web I could not help wondering why they would offer free email to people? Obviously, they are making some money or they would not be giving away these services free. So I thought, I should be like these websites. I should offer email. This was my brilliant conclusion after seeing how these giants worked. The next problem arose: I know nothing about being an email provider. Tough luck. So, I concluded that not everyone can be a free email provider.

Finding ways to make money on the Internet is not such an easy thing as I discovered. From surfing various websites I could see one common theme: they are all pitching a product of some sort whether it be actual consumer products or some service or software. I do not have a store and I have no products to sell. I do not have services to offer so that avenue is also closed to me. Software? Maybe, if I find some new idea that no one has thought of or done before and if I had the time or the money to do research and coding and testing. This was proving more difficult than I imagined. If one had a car dealership then one might advertise in the web and sell more Honda cars or Toyota cars. If one is service oriented one might be able to sell health insurance or maybe life insurance but I have neither of those.
